Anyone know what this folding tripod was used with? ebay description say USMC infrared something.

To support the iPhone, which makes it more comfortable to watch cat videos on Youtube for extended periods of time. There should be a tactical phone clamp bundled with the tripod.

My bad. I was thinking of the USAF. Based on some cursory market research, it is likely to be midget porn for the marines and tranny porn for the regular navy. Cat videos are specifically aimed at the air force. I was not able to work out anything specific about how it would apply to the big army, but apparently, for the infantry, they issue these folded and with a tub of vaseline.
