Rifle Scopes USO Flip-up fix?

While shooting the other day I noticed the flip-up cover on the front had fallen off, the little pin and spring having disappeared into the grass. I'll call and see if I can order the pin and spring but my question is has this happened to anyone else and if there is a fix so it does not happen again? Maybe a dab of super glue or would that seize it up? Thanks in advance.

I had that happen to me with an older pair of the Butler Creek's. Are these the newer USO's and how long have you had them?

At 15 bucks I would just order a new objective cover. If it’s one of the newer USO covers I would talk to someone over at USO. They are making them in-house now and I am sure that they would want to know if something they made isn’t holding up in the field.
