Ok, so, at first i was thinking..buy a SS and wait a year or two and maybe buy a better scope...I was on US OPTICS website..and i saw the ST-10...looks to be a little under $1000? and its a fixed 10x which is what i want..

Question...anyone know how good this scope is? and is it worth waiting another..month or two..or three to get over a cheaper scope?

Im looking to get a scope i wont have to upgrade later...will this be sufficient for the rest of my years?
Thanks

Ethan

Re: USO ST-10 Feedback?

I used a ST-10 for many years. Shot it routinely out to 1000 yds. Never had an issue with it. I ended up selling it only to buy another USO. You will not be disappointed.

Re: USO ST-10 Feedback?

Mine was a fixed parallax set at 250 yards. It worked good for it's application on my AR10, but the next one I get will have the ERGO. If I hadn't sold mine, I was planning on sending it back to have it added.

Re: USO ST-10 Feedback?

You will not be disappointed with a stock ST-10X. I got mine with mildot and lit-ret. Also, I had the parrallax set at 300 yards and never had any problems. The glass is top notch on these scope for the money. Pat.

Re: USO ST-10 Feedback?

I have two ST-10 10x37mm scopes, both are MOA/MOA and I really like the MOA Type 1 reticle. I highly recommend the ERGO option, you can add it later on for $200. These are excellent scopes that can be used on a variety of rifles.

Re: USO ST-10 Feedback?

I have one, mil/mil with ARD and it's currently on a "work" rifle (HS Precision HTR). It has good glass, is reliable and rugged. Suggest you get one an use the h... out of it.

Re: USO ST-10 Feedback?

I just sent my Ergo moa/moa ST10 back to USO.

I really like mine, but decided to go mil/mil rather than moa/moa on all my scopes.
In my opinion Ergo is more important than Erek. I really like the 37mm objective, and when setup on an Ergo its about the same size as others' 42mm objective for fitment purposes.

My new build will be 37mm Ergo, #3 turrets, left side windage (so I have a clear view of my Jpoint at 1;00 on my SPR), illum body.
(so I can add illum later), MPR mil reticle.

One thing I wish is that they would do a fixed power between the ST10 and the ST17....

Speaking of wishes, I've always thought a 2.5-12x37mm SN-3 would be a nice scope.

Re: USO ST-10 Feedback?

I'm currently waiting on two ST-10 scopes.

Mil EREK 1/10
Mil #3 windage 1/10
44mm objective
Ergo upgrade
MIL GAP reticle
2" sunshade + ARD

Should be a big step forward from my Leupold MK4. It's primarily for use from 100-900 meters on my .308 Remmy700.
Being a fixed 10x, I wanted simplicity, consistency and matching turret / reticle.

From everything I've read, most have been very satisfied!
Good luck

In about 16 weeks when its built.

Re: USO ST-10 Feedback?

I have one and it performs great for the money. There is nothing wrong with a basic ST10 but with options the cost goes up fairly fast. If you can live with a the fixed parallax then it saves a good chunk of $$.

ERGO 44mm obj
EREK 1/4 MOA
U.S. #1 M40 Style 1/4 MOA
MOA Scale Type 1 reticle
2" shade w/ ARD
USO flip-caps front & rear
USO XL rings
USO 20moa base
USO folding cant-indicator

Since the picture was taken the scope has been transplanted to my wifes rifle (the urban camo SPS-T).
