Rifle Scopes USOptics LR17

They are....... Awesome! The ER 25 and LR 17 are still great scopes. I don't really know what you are trying to say. Scopes are like ice cream. Everyone likes a different flavor. Just because scopes are older doesn't mean you can't use them or they aren't better than a new scope. Just ask all the Premier and Mark 4 guys. So because an ER 25 is older than a Vortex PST II do you think it is a lesser quality scope? I would take an ER 25 any day over most other brand new scopes.

Ive shot an old st10 next to lots of newer scopes. And yes, I can tell the difference in the glass, the turrets, the tracking, etc. There's a reason the USOs are expensive. A machined tube is more expensive than a casting. An American engineer is more expensive than a Chinese engineer.

Yea, I'll be keeping my st-10.

I just pre ordered a new FDN17x from US Optics. $2174 shipped with the first responder discount.

Well, since the thread is here......

One of the biggest complaints I hear about USO scopes, is the low magnification tunneling. Yup, they tunnel pretty bad below about 5x magnification.

That's a little of a bummer, sure. But I'll take it, considering how little I use 5x or less magnification, and that said tunneling results in an excellent FOV at the higher magnifications.

How many scopes have a better field of view at 17x? Those that do have a better high mag field of view, do they tunnel as well?

I find the bigger field of view at 17x more useful than the 4x tunneling is annoying.

Honestly, I'd prefer they just put a stop in the mag ring so that it can't go below 5x, then advertise the scope as a 5-17 x 50.

I don't know why any self respecting individual would use an old outdated optic from US Optics...

Yea!! Your reticle is all jacked up! It's probable mounted in there sideways...

And everybody knows you can't hit shit with all that tunneling below 4X magnification. And I also heard the glass is made in South fukdupistan!

Btw:

Damn that's a pretty setup!

Alright we better quit, I got banned for 2 weeks and accused of "Trolling" last time I posted on this thread. I'm gonna silence notifications from this one, leaving with some eye candy with failing reticles...
