Sounds like fun, I plan on being there, although I doubt I can stick around for the pistol shoot.

Dag nab it! Can't come. Son's 12th birthday. But I still get a consolation prize.

Re: UTAH SHOOTOUTS - June 12 - Precision & Semi Au

We will start sign in at 8:30, till 9:30 you can get warmed up or we will have a new shooter orientation during that hour, to help new shooters get there dope, etc. (if there is any of course) Shooter meeting at 9:30, start shooting at 10:00. That way the wind will be blowing a little harder too.

Alan, why don't we try that new .22 out on a shooting match for rim fire. You can even set it up. We had one a year or two ago. Dan has a set of cute little .22 rf steel silhouettes he set up. Also a few dozen eggs. It was a rifle-pistol team event. Each team shot at the same time at far and near eggs. The team that broke all the eggs the fastest got the most points. It was a riot. What do you think? We could do it as a side match maybe, on one of our 2nd Saturdays.

Re: UTAH SHOOTOUTS - June 12 - Precision & Semi Au

Clint, Do you have a date in July yet?
I want to get a date set to shoot in the second half of July and don't want to conflict with any other shoots in the area.

I wish I could make it down this weekend I really like the combo rifle/carbine matches. Maybe if your July shoot is the first part of July I can make it down.

I gotta pull outta this one... blade @45. Buddy needs help putting sandbags around his house. normally I'd suggest he convert it to an Ark but I owe him... catch y'all at the next shoot.

Re: UTAH SHOOTOUTS - June 12 - Precision & Semi Au

Thanks Clint, Robert and Bob for an excellent day of shooting! I thought that rain was going to give us trouble spoting hits, but it actually made it easier! I have to say they have a first class range. The wind was howling(momentarily) and the rain was pouring, but with the shelters they have it was quite enjoyable.

Video of June 12, 2010 precision and carbine comp:

Much rain and hail and wind, what a fine day. Nobody wanted to stop shooting.

Did the 100 yard cold bore, 3 shot group, 10 shot hostage and 5 shot sitting.

Then went to the police range and did 25, 50 and 100 yd commandos. The last commando stage was 5 shot with 2 seconds per shot (see video).

Then did the 100 yd mover.

Then went to the long range. Did 3 stages of 200 to 600 yd steel. And 3 targets at odd distances to over 900 yds.

Had 15 shooters. Robert got first place and walked off with a $100 gift certificate for Rogers Rifle Shop.

Re: UTAH SHOOTOUTS - June 12 - Precision & Semi Au

Thanks a million Clint, Robert, and Bob. I will definatly be back for more. I've been shooting long range for several years now but this was my first match that I got to shoot longer ranges at. Fun, Fun Fun. Hopefully I can learn how to shoot my AR worth a damn. Then maybe I can give robert more of a run for his money. Thanks again for an awesome shoot. By the way, loved the rain and wind. Lets order a new batch for next month. It makes it way more interesting. Great shooters and great fun.

Re: UTAH SHOOTOUTS - June 12 - Precision & Semi Au

On the website, click on results up at the top. It will have an overview like is here on this thread, scroll down a ways, the scores are there.

I got to get my kid to clean up the website. You'll see I can't get some lines and junk deleted. It's a mess. But the scores for each stage are there.

Tucker, sounds good. We'll put you to work.
