SWAT is a joke in fact, it would seem the way police handle most situations is a joke. No more deescalation it's just 0-100mph now

True, and although I don't wear that badge, as a FF/Medic and cross-trained with various PD and SO's in Southern CA, it seems their SOP's are pretty similar....and not in line with what occurred here.

I'll be honest, the first time our FD moved to change SOPs to actively enter under armed cover to rescue victims (if possible) there was tremendous pushback. They wanted to wait an hour or two for officers/dogs to search every possible hiding place for a potential shooter...

I read that they were just moved to the regular department. So they are now patrol or something.
I also read that the first Texas DPS officer that entered was a female. She left her vest and rifle in the car. Several of the DPS officers are under investigation for their actions that day. She quit so no action can be taken against her. But, you're not going to believe this. She's applied for the job as a security officer. Unfuckin believable.
