That's not to say, that the black-face and KKK outfit will be forgotten. We won't forget but the other side will try not to make excuses for it.
If they do, they will say something like, "that was a long time ago when he was young. We've all done things we've regretted. Besides, look at his record for helping minorities, women, LGBT and children. Don't forget the children!"

The give-away programs were like Ptomkin villages that promoted prosperity for all but kept people enslaved to the welfare state.
