Has anyone tried applying this paint to the inside of a scope sunshade? Theoretically, it should absorb 99% of all stray light that hits the inside of the sunshade. Let me know what you guys think.. I know astronomers apply black paint to the inside of telescopes to reduce stray light.

I bought some and was thinking of coating the inside of the scope shade with a brush and putting the shade in the oven.

There are several other suppliers of similar paints that are not quite as petulant as that specific name brand.
They are used on telescopes, so I'm sure it would work well inside your sunshade.

I work with this stuff for a living.

Vantablack is very fragile and completely unnecesary for this application. There are plenty of very black paints for the vis. Vantablack is there for IR-related applications and it is mostly used for calibration equipment.
