Varget help

Like bathing, or brushing your teeth, you need to be diligent about checking all of the big players in powder, multiple times a day...like in the morning, afternoon and the evening.

Stuff comes in, gets posted and then people pass that info onto others and it's gone.

The fact of the matter is, is it's the interwebz age and stuff get's 'outed' and then sold out, so you have to be quick on the draw.

Yeah another thing is to figure on ANY powder that can work rather than waiting forever for varget.

elfster you wouldn't help a fellow hider out would you. I HAD an 8Iber but let it get down to about a half a pound then this craziness took place. I would love to sub for a diffrent powder but my rifle only likes Varget and RL-15 and I can find neither. I think Im going to bite the bullet and hit up a gun show or two this weekend and see how I do. But from what I heard some people at shows are wanting Gunbroker prices. $70+ a pound.> NOT THIS GUY<

bro, I would totally help you out on where to get it if you lived in north / west Wisconsin. The place that has it can not ship the varget.

if any of you live in the north / west part of Wisconsin, then send me a PM and I can let you know where to pick up loads of varget, primers, and bullets for really good prices.

I was just there today and I would say they have about 10 @ 8lbs varget left at 189.00 each, just got in about 10,000 60grn vmax 224 bullets, and about 5k in 50grn vmax 224 for 17.99 per 100ct box each, and got a boat load of cci 200primers for 30 each, and loads of pistol small / large primers today.

I just picked up 3 pounds locally today.

I don't need it right now, but in the future I will. I figured if its available I better buy a few pounds.

I also got it thinking it could come in handy for trading.

I am finally seeing Varget hit the shelves again in my area, I picked up a 8lb keg and passed on several 1 lb cans. Today I saw eight 1 pounders on a shelf in another shelf. Not sure where you are in WV but I will shoot you a PM in case you are close enough to make the drive. I am strictly running ARComp in my 308 with great success and only running Varget in a couple calibers other than .308 if his helps. Good luck!!

Getting Varget RL15 or AR Comp in my area has not been an issue, Large Rifle Primers are good too, its the bullets I have a hard time with, 175gr SMK's or 178gr AMAX's are all but nonexistent. I have a few hundred on order from Powder Vally but waiting for them to ship.

+1 on this.. A friend of mine just got some from Bass Pro Shop online yesterday.. It wasn't the cheapest price but at least he will be able to shoot this year.. Just keep checking and calling, man.. You'll find some.
