I took a load out to test my Douglas barrel on my mk12. I’ve never seen vertical stringing like this. The two groups are 100 yards. The single group is 200. 1:7 twist with 73 eldm and 8208. What could be causing this? I felt solid on all the shots
Check to see if the bases is loose. I had a similar problem. I put the rifle in a vice and was able to detect a small amount of motion. Sure enough the base had worked loose.
I was also going to suggest your scope rings or base might be loose. But after closer examination, your horizontal spread seems tight. I think the problem is you aren't using the right targets. Order a few of these and you are set.
Lol, an inch and a half vertical does not constitute being close. But yes, do add or subtract some powder, if you give your case and charge, someone here can dial you in. If your scope rings were loose, your horizontal dispersion would not be so good either.
It did this today with the same load. All I did was tighten the gun in my shoulder pocket a little more. I’m going to test it more of course. I should have an AEM5 in a month or two and have to start over anyway
