What do you guys think about he Vortex Viper HS 4-16x44? I've had a Burris Droptine 2-7x on my 10/22 for years. I'd like an optic with low enough magnification for hunting in the woods but also work well for a little more precision than my current 2-7x. My 10/22 has a Kidd UL barrel, Kidd FCG and sitting in a Magpul stock. I think a 4-16 makes a good intermediate range for this gun. I know this is MOA but all my other optics are MOA too.

Anyone have this optic?

Midway has them on sale now for $379.

I have a Vortex Viper and I do like it. But, I put a Diamondback on in place of it and I like it even better. It's a lot of scope at that price point. Note, having a 55mm objective helps in brighter views. You might want to consider the Diamondback???

The Diamondback looks to be a great value as well. I definitely like the reticle better on the Diamondback. But I'm drawn to the 4x and smaller/ lighter overall package of the Viper HS 4-16x44.

Or maybe?

I've read great things about those. That's going even bigger, heavier and less low end magnification than the Diamondback though, lol.

50 yard parallax is an immediate no go on a rimfire scope for me
Ah, I overlooked that.... thanks for pointing that out. I'm second guess the Viper HS now. I normally shoot at least 50 yds but I'd like to keep limitations to a minimum.
