Virginia should be America's Hong Kong

Plenty of fight left in Virginia. It's not our fault that the dipshits keep moving here. Not much we can do when a couple 100 thousand native northerners move to Northern Virginia, can we? These Fortune 500 companies keep moving out of NY and moving into VA and bringing all their people with them.

The City of Richmond and the Newport News area have always been liberal because that's where all the government subsidised housing is, which is their voter base. The rest of the state is still in tact.

Plenty of fight left, but it needs to be more than just Virginians fighting this battle in VA. We need bodies and money. We need the conversative version of Bloomberg to dump money into this campaign to help get people going. So many people don't have a clue this is even happening. Need media buys, newspapers, commercials, social media campaigns, all the things they used to get it in place need to be used to take it down.

Doubtful, most peaceful firearms owners who this law would criminalize aren't going to break their defensive posture on the matter for anything short of someone kicking their door in to take their guns. It would be the radicals who defined any crisis like what is happening in HK, probably ANTIFA in this case, but not the hundreds of thousands of people who just want to be left alone.

Even the most 'peaceable' of firearm owners, or just people in general, have limits to their tolerance. But more so among firearm owners. Here is one plausible scenario that can result from a non-boogaloo disarmament situation...

Let's say Joe Smith is a gun owner. A gun owner, respectable citizen who has never broken the law, and a breadwinner for his wife and two children. For years, Joe Smith has known that it is the Glock 19 in his CC holster and 12 gauge Remington 870 in his bedroom that has kept him and his family safe from the various home invasions and other street crimes that has happened from time to time in their neighborhood.

One day, his county's lawmakers pass a Sullivan Act type law making CCL's almost impossible to obtain, and effectively outlawed the possession of any handgun or long arm even in one's residence without a draconian, highly expensive, highly time consuming, and exhausting investigation and wait period. Those who own guns already are given a grace period to submit to these investigations to keep their guns, or face serious charges if they do not turn their guns in via a "mandatory buyback" within a certain time period. Upon doing his research, Joe Smith realized that he simply could not afford to go through the background check process, which will run him about $1500 total and must be renewed every year. He has a family to feed, after all. Thus, Joe Smith, law abiding citizen with a clean record, reluctantly turns his two weapons into a state run center for a $25 gift card, and tries to go back to raising his family and keeping his employment. Life goes on, or as he mistakenly thinks.

Meanwhile, his state, overrun by leftist policies, turn into a total shithole. Crime begins to run rampant. Incidents of "forced diversity education" happen every day and the perpetrators are only given slaps on the wrist. Inevitably, one day, Joe Smith's house is the target of a violent break in. His beloved wife sustained a brutal injury to her head as she was raped while two of the hooligans forced him to watch. Afterward, another one of the thugs forces his 6 year old daughter to perform oral sex while the others beat and stomped Joe in the next room. Later, in the hospital, Joe receives the news that his wife had passed away from her injuries. Both his children had to be removed to a state facility as no one could care for them at the moment. Joe himself required an extensive hospital stay due to the injuries he received from his beating.

When he was finally discharged from the hospital, Joe Smith walked through the icy winter chill to a now empty house. Devoid of the warmth, sweet words, and laughter that it used to contain. Due to his injuries, he had also lost his job. As Joe downed his fifth shot of brandy that night, he began thinking. He did not do anything to earn the fucked up hand that he had been dealt. Neither is he going to blame it on "fate" or another idiotic supernatural theory. He realized that his situation had been entirely forced upon him purely by the actions of a tyrannical and out of control state that he did not vote for.

As the liquor subsided, Joe began to do his research. Could not work anymore, soon to lose his very house if money does not start coming in right away. However, Joe did not really give a fuck anymore. Soon, he came up with a special list.

Two weeks later, joggers along a wooded suburban path finds a corpse whose head had been smashed open by a terrific blow with a hatchet from behind. The corpse was soon identified as a regional lawmaker who had been responsible for drafting the county's "Tough Love Gun Policy". He had been last seen taking his dog out of his pricy new Escalade for a walk in that park. His SUV is also missing, and is discovered to have been sold for parts in another state.

Days later, the pain filled screams of another lawmaker who had put the "Tough Love" policy into effect fell on deaf ears at his country estate as his toes and fingers were slowly removed with a rotary tool...

I'll have to admit, I've been really paying attention to my state more lately. I'm waiting for our liberal gov. to start imposing the same kinda shit that's going on in states like Virginia and seems like he's already started. Mac:(

Why wait to let your elected representatives in the state know how you feel about infringements on your rights they swore to protect. Do you think the enemies of liberty are waiting until the politicians say something? They are pro active, and we are reactive. We need to turn that around if we want to win.

Or it gets to the point where he has lost everything he worked so hard for there is nothing left to fight for and he is found dead in a welfare check after taking his own life.

The men who stood up to the king had everything to loose, and almost all of them did loose it all in the process. We need to stand up for ourselves while we still have something to loose instead of allowing an evil like this to fall on someone's family.

West Virginia already broke off. Perhaps it's time for the state of South Virginia...
Theres a solution! WVU has a mascot with a rifle instead of a turkey :). Maybe a simple secession from the state of all but NOVA and you join the West as a larger state!!! Our state even looks like a finger gun pointed up if you never noticed!! Everything West of Charlottesville and South of Harrisonburg is welcome as far as I'm concerned!
