I pulled my Vltor emod clubfoot stock off my POF 308 and was going to use it on my ar15. Is the only stuff that i would need is the lighter buffer weight and a different spring. I thought i read somewhere the tube and the nut would be the same?

Tube and castlenut are the same from .308 to 5.56 platforms. You're correct, the buffer and the spring changes between the two. Not 100% positive on the POF but every other AR10 type gun we've put collapsible stocks on had the same buffer tube, castle nut and end plate. Milspec & commercial tubes are a different story but you're probably spun up on that. I've got a POF at the store and if I can remember tomorrow, I'll pull it out and see for sure.
