Looking at the sample list on swfa and am thinking about getting one of the 6-24x50 crossfire scopes for $90 to put on my .22. Just wondering how the tracking is on these? don't want to break the bank for a decent .22 scope. thanks for the info

Re: vortex crossfire tracking?

Good statement on the Above Post.

Quality wise, It is pretty close runner-up with Nikon buckmaster line with better field of view but has (no side focus) but has 50mm Obj. Also it is a long body size Variable power scope. so far till now, the Buckmaster Nikon was as low as I get with .22 rimfire glass that Has Not ended-up in the trash can. & there have been many and I do not hesitate to stomp & toss a shit scope because that is where they belong. I NEVER thought that I would still be using it.
It is a pretty kichass scope for 100-$ & all around I am pretty impressed. I thought when I picked one up that chances were it would be gone but mine is still doing good. it is staying on Zero POI setting @ 50 yards from day one I have set it up on my .22 . No wandering & I am starting to trust it as reliable .22 Aiming glass. It has good glass (better than Any 100-$ scope should have) and a pretty liberal Ocular lens size with good parallax focus and good eye relief on the higher powers. good field of view too.
The turret seam to be pretty positive on the 1/4 moa clicks. BUT I don't do a lot of hard core cranking up & down for MOA holdovers on Elevation like I do with my other tactical scopes that cost a shitLoad more on the-$$$ . I will do mostly just use Retical holdovers because I can get out to over 135 yrd with subsonic ammo. But with the little I have done with the Elevation Turret, It still going good to original setting of zero.
So far it has been putting the hurt on local Starlings, pidgins and crow and paper.
