Rifle Scopes Vortex Razor HD Gen ii. Best in its price range?

Currently, my Gen II Razor is mounted to a 300WM. From bore sighting, it took a total of 5 shots to zero and confirm. If I measure 1.45 mil in the reticle, I turn the internal adjustment 1.45 mil, I get 1.45 mil of movement. Every time. The internal markings are not a suggestion, rather a calibrated scale that works very well. I’ve had this Razor on 3 other rifles and 5 shots is the absolute most it’s ever taken to get a perfect zero with good ammunition.

I do agree that I'd get the 4.5-27 unless you really need the 3-4.5x range. It's not like the lower mag version saves you much weight or cost. And the difference between 18x and 24x-27x to shoot groups or look at long range targets is worth the $ to me, easily.

I must have terrible eyesight: MOA accuracy at 1k+ yards with 18x would be pretty hard for me. Get the 27x unless you REALLY need the FOV on the low end.

Talk with Scott at Liberty Optics and you'll be amazed how affordably you can get into a G2 Razor. Helps make the decision a little easier -- at least it did for me. in a bench or PRS or varmint rifle the weight becomes a feature, not a bug.

What does the Razor do better then the AMG in your opinion?
Honestly looking through both of them, I think the eyebox is a little more forgiving in the Razor vs. the AMG. So if you can handle a little weight the Razor just fits me better. But like the other guy said its all personal preference. I found myself shooting with the AMG and found it to be a little hard after my shot to keep perfectly aligned with the scope while shooting off a barricade which other scopes like the razor worked a little bit better for PRS shooting in my opinion.
