Rifle Scopes Vortex StrikeFire

Re: Vortex StrikeFire

I have one on my 22, I like it but I had to bottom the elevation all the way to get it to zero at 25 yards. The lens covers it came with suck. But for the price, Its pretty nice.

Re: Vortex StrikeFire

Shane,

I got a return Strikefire from Scott and for what I paid I am happy with it. It sits on my nephews 10/22 and he shoots the hell out of it. All in all it is a good value, just not to be confused with an Eotech or Aimpoint replacement.

Pro's : Probably the best wannabe red dot sight out there. The ability to change from red to green illumination.

Con's : I had to go pretty extreme on the elevation to get it zeroed as well. The illumination could definitely be brighter, it is day visible but not what I would call bright. Also it takes an odd battery, not hard to find but just one more battery I have to keep in the inventory.

Re: Vortex StrikeFire

They won't stay closed unless I re-position them every time I want to close them. Even when I get them "just right" they still pop open a lot. They both move down the tube and have to be pushed back into position and held there when I want to close them.

Thanks
Tyler

Re: Vortex StrikeFire

I just got one and have been pleased with it so far. My only gripe is the location of the on/off switch (which cycles through the red and green dots too on my model). The switch is the farthest thing to the left of my rifle, and if I rest the rifle on the bench on the left side (which I do when reloading mags) I find that it will hit the power switch. Rather annoying.

Re: Vortex StrikeFire

I looked at getting one for my beater M4 copy that Ive left as it came from the factory but it cant be worth a whole lot. I mean can it, it comes with a mount and a magnifier for 150 bucks. Sounds like it might be a decent toy for a 10/22 for the boys birthday though. Would it handle a 15 year old?

There are a couple of things you can do to help this problem. One,which I prefer, is to get one of those little stick on bumpers that you find on the bottom side of a coffee, kitchen, or end table's glass top and stick it by the power switch. This will keep most anything from hitting the buttons. The other thing you can do is rotate the site to the left 90 degrees. This will put your power switch on the bottom and make your elevation adjustment your windage and vice-versa. You really have to have the AR-15 mount in order to reach your power switch if you do this.

No matter what he does to it,no matter who's fault(short of theft or loss) we will fix or replace at no charge to the customer. With a warranty like that we can't afford to put out a non quality product.

Re: Vortex StrikeFire

Scott or Sam,

Will the SPARC be out at the same time as the PST's?

And you said that would be when?

Can't blame me for trying.

Thanks,

Jason

And yes, that is the definition of customer service.
