I'm waiting on my Mossberg MVP to come in...and need to buy a scope for it..the gun will be used from 50-500yds...for steel, paper and groundhogs. Before you ask, the reason I'm getting the mvp is honestly because of the AR mag's..i'll load up a beta and just not worry about reloading for the whole day lol.
But I THINK i've setteld between these two scopes...and my budget is at/near $500.
Would the HS be worth the loss of magnification, and extra cost, over the regular Vortex Viper?
I know some of you internet super hero's can shoot fly's at 1000yds with a fixed 10, but I can't....so the more magnification is really a big plus to me. I'm just not lucky enough to have gotten behind a VV HS yet to see how they are...but I know the regular viper is a great scope..
so, any suggestions/opinions/rants/blogs/mocking/name calling?
if you think there's another scope that would fit for me, offer it up...but know i want more than 15x, i want target or "tactical" turrest (exposed or not isn't a huge deal...i like exposed but as long as they're target/tactical style i'm ok)
