Good day,
I've tried to do a search to get the answer I'm looking for and avoid what's surely a repetitive post but I wasn't able to find anything.
I've been shooting recreational for 30 or so years and just recently I decided to get into precision shooting- mostly for recreation but possibly some competitions.
I'm torn between two types of scope magnification and I need a little push in the right direction.
I'm trying to decide on the Vortex Viper HS-T (MRAD) in either the 4-16x 44 or the 6-24x50

I will be putting it on a Remington 700 AAC-SD in .308 with a 20" barrel and in an AICS 2.0 stock (including 20MOA rail if it matters)
Ranges I'll be shooting are probably between 300-600 meters but I may want to push out to 1000 meters.
Also, if anyone has any input on whether I should order low or medium height rings that'd be awesome.
Thanks!
OOS
