Vudoo closed the doors…

I saw “New” and thought “oh, maybe something’s finally happening with Vudoo…” what was I thinking… 
Actually it did not sound like your typical popper. This tractor had a Fairbanks Morse magneto which was supposedly used during a Waco shortage. It fires correctly and the pop is missing.
Something about those seats, sitting over nothing but a spring and air, seems really unsettling. Beautiful Restoration.
The exposed flywheel on the old tractors was always the unsettling part for me.
Place near me years ago. Guy was bush hogging with a similar tractor. Maybe a few models newer. Spring holding seat up or something in seat broke.
What a way to go. Better hope the pto grabs you.

Far too many stories about bush hogs and people. I’ve seen them spit out a 2x4 fifty feet. Parhaps the saddest story was about a 1968 Corvette. A man had purchased a yellow 68 Corvette 427. Beautiful machine. He, like many of us in North Louisiana had a small farm. Was mowing a pasture with his grandson in his lap…..you can read between the lines
The grandfather went into serious depression. Let his farm and his beautiful Corvette sit while he wasted away and died not too long afterwards. Our friend and neighbor purchased and restored the Corvette many years later from the widow. A sad story to a beautiful car.

Rural schools should teach basic farm safety. Loader upsets. Pto. Etc. But no. They literally are requiring 2 foreign languages to graduate now.
I almost got pulled out of the seat of a 4020 john deere pulling a 15' shredder by a little bs pecan limb one time. I can't even remember what it snagged on me. I can sure remember stabbing at the clutch while looking at that shredder thinking well shit, I guess this is it.
I finally got enough of the clutch to stop the tractor and was able to break the limb and un snag myself.
I've ran over one calf, and one fawn. Made me sick both times. I no longer bush hog in the spring. Definitely not the way I'd want to go.
The Ego system is nice. String trimmer, chainsaw, leaf bower. Can’t go to a lawn mower yet lol.
Since this thread is irrevocably mired in trivia I am happy to share it has been 27 years since I owned a lawn mower and I have never owned a string trimmer or leaf blower. I'm too busy for landscaping that can't fend for itself.
What about a snow blower!!!

Not funny…..probably what’s going to happen, sell used 2000 to 2015 remington rifles, coats that leak and offering tourist trips into the American Outback. As in the staked plains.
