Wade Stuteville was born in Oklahoma in December of 1972 into a family of 6 fathered by a combat veteran, gunsmith, shooter, and hunter. His father built his first rifle, a .22, for him on his fifth birthday and his first high powered bolt action rifle when he was 9. Stuteville was raised shooting, reloading, hunting, trapping, and fishing.
Stuteville married his high school sweetheart, Angie, in 1998 and has two boys ages 4 and 7. When he is not at work in the Fire Protection Industry the family shoots and reloads with him at every opportunity.
Stuteville has worked closely with his good friend and shooting partner, Preston Pritchett, on many design projects since even before the formation of Surgeon Rifles in 2004. He is proud to represent Surgeon Rifles as a sponsored shooter.
Stuteville has been shooting long range tactical matches for over 10 years. These matches require a mix of speed, precision, and tactics with a long range rifle and sometimes with a semi-auto rifle, and even a pistol. He has gained considerable experience from shooting against the best military, law enforcement, and professional long range tactical shooters in the country. Stuteville has won numerous first place titles over the years including: Badlands Tactical Training Facility Sniper Match, Tiger Valley Sniper Match, 3rd Generation Shooters Hunting Match, 3 Mils Right Training Center Match, but the accomplishment he is most proud of is winning both the Sniper’s Hide Cup and Sniper’s Hide Shooter’s Bash Match at Rifles Only in Kingsville, TX in 2010.
Protective Shooting Solutions is proud to include Wade Stuteville as a valuable addition to our Instructor Cadre.

Re: Wade Stuteville Precision Rifle Class in OKC

Awesome news, a proven nationwide top competitor who knows more about shooting and the technicalities than my brain could ever absorb. Those who get to go will definitely get a speed pass into the game, well worth the money.

The class went great Wade and PSS did a good job. I'll try to post more details later.

Re: Wade Stuteville Precision Rifle Class in OKC

The class was awesome, albiet it was effin hot outside. Satan's crotch hot. Wade, Charles and the others (I don't want to throw out names, but those involved know who I'm talking about) were awesome. Everyone was very nice, tought the subject matter well, and the course was tailored to the students. I'm completely new to the precision rifle field, and they had me shooting about 3/4 MOA groups at 600 yards, on target. I was impressed with the instruction, and how well my Remington 700 SPS tactical shot. The only thing I did to it was change to a B&C A2 stock bought on the PX here, and add a Weaver Tactical 3-10X40 scope. The trigger was still a bit heavy for my taste (about 4.75 lbs. I can't recommend this class to enough. I hope Protective Shooting Solutions/Wade Stuteville put on a Long Range Rifle-2 class. I had shot pistols with Charles Cowden last year, and now that I know he is putting on training classes, I look forward to training with him again.

I hope to post a proper AAR soon, but I've been very busy (lazy) lately. Bratch, that rifle you have is a flat shooting son of a gun.
