Wallet chain or no?

When I was hunting this past weekend, I sorta "misplaced" my wallet.. In Texas, when you're hunting, you have to have liscence, and i.d. with you if GW asks for it..

I spent roughly 4 hours looking for it.
GF said that those chains are just damn stupid..

I just don't want to lose that little fucker again!

What's yalls take?

IMO unless you look like, or are a biker the chain kinda makes you look like a douche.

On the other hand you also wouldn't spend four hours walking around looking for your wallet...

Another option would be a clear pouch w/a neck lanyard like they use at racetracks to hold credentials w/your ID and license in it.

Like this...

Leave the wallet at home, in the truck, at the cabin, or whatever.

Secure it in a chest pocket on your coat or vest, buttoned, zippered or velcro’ed.

And now that im thinking about it, I wonder how many trees and bushes that chain would be able to snag ahold to..

I think the chain while hunting would make unwanted noise. Put your wallet in your backpack or wear pants that have a buttoned pocket and problem should be solved. You could also take your license and tag and put it in a ziplock bag then in your pack and wouldn't have to worry about it getting wet.

I have a short chain on my wallet, never lost one with with a chain in over 40 yrs. Tuck chain in with wallet if it bothers you. Fuck what others think abt it its your wallet.

I always wear cargo pants or shorts when I hunt and I keep my wallet in a leg pocket with flaps so it will never fall out.
