i am new to rifles
l Live on Long Island can not even Discharge unless belong to a Gun Club
wait was 2.5yrs .........Yahoo got in
so now need a new safe or start sellin shot guns
but with that said
what do you guys think of the
LMT's ???????
started at, Armalite, Colt, Bushmaster, S&W M-15
breifly: JP'S
now looking at these LMT's??????????

LMT is a nice rifle, but probably over built and not really setup for the shooting you'll do. You want a shooting rifle, not a battle rifle.

For a first AR and a range gun I'd look at the offerings from RRA and S&W. 18-20" barrel SS barrel. Maybe something like the varmint rifle http://www.rockriverarms.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_id=228

Do you have to have a fixed stock?

ya, with so many options it really depends on budget and use. For casual shooting I really liked my Rock River, Stag or some like that are great choices for the money. DPMS was the most accurate factory M4 type I had so far. You could build one too and save some money.

I live south of Albany , and own a GAP-1O . The gun laws here suck a lot of companies make ny and California legal ar' s . What is your budget ?

$3,000.00 would be fine for the right gun

have a 14 yr old son and we enjoy shooting!
now that we are a member of the club Rifles are open to that experience so away we go!!
you know that saying (BOYS AND THERE TOYS!!)

Shoot man, if you want to buy an LMT buy one! You don't need one, but I think you already know that. They are great guns from every little thing I have heard. Super cool guns too.
