Suppressors Warlock II Sound Test

Re: Warlock II Sound Test

THis is really very helpful in understanding how dB ratings are only a part of the suppression story.

At face value:

The NEW Warlock, the Warlock II, is actually louder than the old one. Is the old one clean? Dirty? Are the other competitve cans the most recent versions? Clean? Dirty?

Of all suppressors tested, the two best reading cans are the competitive cans.

ALL the cans are within a simular range, so simular that it is not possible for the human ear to differentiate the dB differences.

And that is where we begin.

The host is unfortunate. That host is prone to back chamber pop, especially with higher pressure cans. In other words, whereas each of these cans cycles, if one can has higher internal back pressure, it would be louder at the chamber, not the endcap.

We know the camera can not represent actually residual frequencies, what were the differences?

And then the rest comes into play:

Accuracy????

1. Which can lighter?
2. Which can is stronger?
3. Which can purges debris better?
4. Which can disassembles or doesn't and the consequences of either?
5. What are the differences in cost?
6. Weight?
7. Materials? Especially in the thread area?
8. Service?
9. Finish longevity?
10. Customer service?
11. and on and on and on...

Great post, much apprecaited.

All valid questions - a few to answer off the bat:

Each suppressor has had at least 300 rounds shot through it. At least. On the Customer Service end, we provide each of our suppressors (Silencerco or SWR) with a lifetime warranty - provided you didn't do something stupid to blow up the can. The rest of the information, including MSRP pricing is found on our website under each product and "Specs" at www.swrsuppressors.com

We'll probably be doing a long gun test on them soon. This is just a start on these suppressors.

Re: Warlock II Sound Test

Not bad. Depending on the price I would get one. All of them were about the same. If you want to play the numbers game the AAC won but no one can tell the difference between 1db.
