we have been investigated...

Re: we have been investigated...

My wifes family just got a house at Lake of the Ozarks up around 6mm of the Gravois Arm. Not sure where Party Cove is, i'm not likely to ever visit as i'd most likely have my girls with me, and i'm not down with that scenery when they're with me.

The lake has changed a lot in the last 20 years. I used to go down a lot when I was a kid. Family friend had a house there we used regularly, and the lake was a very nice calm quiet place with normal boaters. Now, you need at least 30' of boat to not get capsized, all pontoons are triple logged and still have water come over the deck, and i'm pretty sure that nobody on a waverunner looks around to see what's around them.

Now I was on the waverunner all weekend, and I had a fun time on the ocean waves that are made behind the 40' "wakeboats" that were covered in bikini clad women, but i'm constantly looking all over the lake, since nobody else is, and I hate that. I have to take my girls out for their rides early in the day to get out while it's still quiet and pretty safe. My youngest does like the ocean waves though, lol.

Positive note, the fishin' is still good. I need to get the video up of my oldest catchin' some fish, and keeping an eye on a particularly bright star that was the tooth fairy waiting for her to go to bed since she lost her second tooth earlier that day.

Disclaimer:

Do not ever take a child to Party Cove.

It is worth experiencing though. It is hard to explain.

There are still fun ways to spend the day with the family. You definitely do need a big boat. It has gotten to the point that manufacturers test new hull designs here to make sure they will survive in the ocean.
