Newbie posting, so please pardon the dumb question....

The Weaver manual states that the gray and yellow filters that come with the lens covers are interchangeable, although it recommends installing the gray filter on the eyepiece and the yellow filter on the objective end of the scope. Is there any distinct advantage to this arrangement vs. using yellow filters on both ends of the scope?

Your collective input would be most appreciated. Thanks!

The "filters" are worthless and the mechanism that holds them on falls off all the time. Having said that, I like weaver caps... they are my favorite "budget" cap.... but I remove the little ring and filter that come with the scope and throw it in the trash.
