don't know where else to ask,so. what are push notifications? keep getting a pop up on forum asking me to enable them. WTF?

You get a notification on your phone like a text message letting you know you have a PM or someone replied to a thread you subscribed to, or some quoted you, etc. So glad push notifications are working on Android now!
