Friend of mine in Fort Worth at Crows liquor has a bottle of double eagle 🦅 very rare for sale at the store not secondary market.

Too rich for my blood but thought someone here might want it.

Manager's name is Brian.

Nope they don't ship, legalities.

And I get offered hard to get, or allocated items often with the premise direct from the owner that I don't put things on the secondary market .

Sorry
No need to apologize for protecting your honey hole. I could easily drive to Dallas and get it. The 3 grand is a little harder to come by at the moment. At least for a bottle I’m gonna drink lol

Thanks for that…too rich for me as well, but I’m trying to put together a group buy with a couple guys from my wife’s office who are also huge bourbon aficionados. Hell, they have cut and polished Blanton’s bottles around the office as light fixtures! LoL

And I’ll be driving through there next Tuesday when we take our daughter back up for her last year of University…

Guess we’ll arm wrestle for the cap on that bottle of Double Eagle Very Rare if we buy it!

Rules: my “big” bottle of Eagle Rare:

I was on an old fashioned roll for a while. It dawned on me that the fancy 🍒 cherries cost was nuts.

I bought high quality regular cherries and infused them myself.

Smaller cans / jars get a shot and larger got 1 1/2 or 2. It doesn't take long to get them infused. I would poor off all juice reserved put them in a mason 🫙 add the whiskey and top off with reserved juice.

Yes the Luxardo cherries are very good, a couple imitation brands out there not worth their price .

For your old fashioned use the savings and get premium quality real 🍁 syrup.

Only Luxardo for me at home. They’re worth the $20
Yup, same for me for proper mixed drinks like an Old Fasioned. These cheap(ish) dark cherries from Costco are surprisingly good in mixed drinks too, but I only use Luxardo in my Old Fashioned’s.

Regular maraschino cherries are better for whiskey sours though, IMHO.

Need some help from the tequila malitia.

I like drinking anejo tequila.
Tres Generations, 1800, Don Julio type class.

Been wanting to try some cristalino .

Mostly what I'm finding is floor sweepings, aka leftover blended crap. I don't buy blended whiskey.

Been surfing the net and not finding what I want from any known brands. Like finding anejo tequila from a company that's six months old, screw that bullshit.

I could use some

Don Pilar if you can find it. Tapatio.
Another I like but very different flavor profile, much more plant forward is Siete Leguas.
The interesting part there for me is this is who made Patron before Paul Mitchel bought them and moved to another distillery and then triple distilled removing all the flavor. It is very different.

Just picked up a bottle of G4 blanco. Tried some with Fresca and a lime and it was damn tasty, so bought a bottle
