Rifle Scopes what are you most excited to see at SHOT?

I've had a chance to look at it at the AUSA show last year. I think Aimpoint will do well with it, but I really do not know why I would go with it instead of the commonly available open type sight like Shield RMS.

I want to run it on top of my scope mounted to the top ring. I have a deltapoint pro which I do really like but it just gets full of dirt and dust and figured a closed sight would be better.

if it is as good as the 3.6-18 than I'll buy one asap with the TMR reticle. I absolutely love my 3.6-18 on my SRPish AR.

Leupold announced a 7-35x56 mark 5? I can't find that anywhere, would certainly be interesting though.

The true answer of "if it is as good as the 3.6-18" can only truly be answered after it is in the field for 6 months or so. However, I'll report back on it once I get hands on it at the show

If that is true which presumably it is for $2400 if it can maintain the resolution it's going to shake things up a bit.
My thoughts exactly, just wish they had a better/simpler tree reticle they offered, but they have enough options to get the job done. With this and the new Burris XTR III 5.5-30x56 coming out we have some great competition/options for the $1500 - $1800ish range.

I'm still extremely curious about the Burris as well. I have a feeling Leupold will eventually make a more clean tree reticle. Probably late to the party as usual but still it seems inevitable.

I always enjoy meeting up with folks I haven't seen in a while and catching up on industry trends and personal lives.

As far as products go, in no particular order:
1. Some light weight optics with top shelf performance and good field of view in the higher end range would be nice. I am no fan of boat anchor weigh ins and I think 56mm objectives are pretty useless.
2. I have heard of some opti-electronic rangefinding scope stuff that will be up for range day that I want to try out.
3. More makers and more models getting on the ffp, mil / mill band wagon to provide more compelling options.
4. Would really love a convertable rimfire / centerfire rifle platform along the lines of the Sauer 200 STR rifle concept but with easier change over and U.S. style 700 trigger. I never do, but I would love to see one.
5. Honestly, I'm surprised every year I go with what stuff comes out so I'm sure what I expect too seen and what I see will bear little relation to one another.
