What does everyone think of Redding Dies?

I use Redding for bolt action rifles, and Hornady for everything else, the Hornady lock rings work just fine in the Co-Ax, and are very good quaility, and cost is way less than Redding, but maybe tad higher than RCBS, oh and free bullets too with Hornadys

Redding dies are great, but I would only pay the money for them if they were for a competition rifle.
Not sure about handguns... I would likely go something cheaper

I've been very happy with Hornady pistol die sets, especially the seater. I also use Lyman or Redding M-type expander dies, and Lee collet-type FCD for bottleneck pistol cartridges.

Redding dies are great.So is their warranty and customer service.You won't go wrong with them.Most other brands are good,too.There is nothing wrong with RCBS at half the price.I would recommend getting the carbide set in whatever brand you buy. Pete

Redding dies are the best screw-in dies available. Sure, there are many cheaper alternatives. Same argument as to why Badger rings vs. Weavers?...they both hold a scope on a rifle, so why would I foolishly pay an extra $100? Use a set of Reddings and the answer will become clear. AG

Beware, the Redding Competition pistol seating die is completely different than the Redding Competition rifle seating die, and not nearly as good. Micrometer adjustment (the only thing they have in common) for pistol cartridges is seldom needed unless you load different bullet types, and can dial in the seating depth from your notes.
But then I like Burris Signature Zee scope rings too...

The only pistol Dies for me are the Carbide Dillon. I have them in my Dillon 550 & 650. By the way, blue koolaid, isn't that bad! Great customer service but, I'm looking else where form my precision rifle stuff.

Redding dies are great but expensive. I have a few sets but don't see much of a difference between the finished product between Redding and RCBS dies (I have both in 38 Special) when shot in my S&W 52-2.

Rifle dies, I have tried rcbs, they were painful, hornadys, The sizer die must have been cut wrong, because I had to really torque on the press to get the case in/out. Then I bought redding and saw the light, wow, some nice dies (I didnt get the comp dies in any brand just the inexpensive dies). But for pistol, rcbs carbide is all I have used, and they work great.

Redding's rifle dies are great, they copied Forster's excellant seater design.
Redding's pistol dies have been great since they started copying Lyman's excellant "M" expander design.
I don't know of non-carbide pistol sizer dies being made by anyone for the last couple of decades.

I agree but keep it quite, we don't want to give anyone heart palpations or have eyes rolled back and locked in their heads!

Get the Forster dies...and a Lee Factory Crimp die for the crimping. Especially if you are going to load the .45LC for a heavy Ruger capable load. Keeps the bullet from "jumping crimp". JMHO
