What does TB mean? Savage Axis TB

I am shopping for a savage axis. I sdaw a savage axis "TB" -What does TB mean? thx.

It stands for threaded barrel.

ok - cool. seems like the TB is blued, not SS. I am interested in the ss, but not necessarily the TB, which I guess I could always get done by a gunsmith

Why an Axis?

Its a price point rifle with almost no aftermarket support.

I have been hearing and seeing alot of really impressive things about them. For the price, and a few simple mods (as everyone does anyway), you can have a really nice shooter without breaking the bank. Besides, it falls right along in the DIY catagory quite nice.

true ab out the mods - you look at a model, then start thinking abt how you will mod it - no matter the price.
