New to this....and not really thinking about weight until now. My rifle (aka PIG) is coming in at 15.5 pounds. Damn. Going to need a cart or mule to haul.

I have:
Tikka tactical 16” 308
Steiner P4Xi 4-16
Steiner rings
Warne bipod
Sling with QD
Add a suppressor and I am 17 plus.
Good news is that it won’t kick much.
Next rifle is going to be light.

19 pounds

AI AX308 w/ 24" steel 6.5 Creedmoor barrel
NF ATACR 7-35x in Compact MagMount
ATLAS BT10 w/ Hawk Hill feet

With the Proof Carbon barrel, its 17lbs

chassis + nice optic + brake/can + bipod = 15+
really hard to get below that.

The current set up of the AR10 with Bushnell DMR scope, nightforce rings and atlas is a little over 12 lbs. My 300 win mag PSS was at 14lbs with Vortex Viper PST rings and MARS rail. I just dropped it in an AIAT chassis and seems quite a bit heavier. I will weigh it an post that when I get home.

Snowy Mountain Rifle, TA-4 Manners stock, 24" Bartlein medium palma, Vortex Gen 2 Razor, Harris bipod, goes 17#.

I carried this through deer season this year and weighed it right after the season ended. It clocked in at 20lbs 13oz with a loaded magazine. Too much but it didn't take long to get used to carrying it and it's just too much fun to not carry!

Aside from the bolt being on the wrong side, what are the specs on that rifle?

Should be 12-12.5lbs once I get my Leupold Mark 5 on there. I’ll get a final weight when it gets back to me. This gun has been with me for over 12 years and it has seen changes over time. I use it for target shooting and hunting. Love it.

Side note, it’s the Hs precision short barreled stock and it’s only a 20” barrel. The stock makes it look like the barrel is more of a 24” variety. (Got the stock for weight savings and aesthetics).

Other than being a lefty, it's really just a standard AI AXMC.
27" .338 LM barrel, standard AI brake
Harris bipod
S&B PMII 5-25 in a Spuhr mount.

I'd really love to get my hands on the other bolts for it, but AI doesn't offer them for lefties. I love the rifle, but part of my reason for purchasing it as an end-game rifle was because it is a multi-caliber setup. Despite that, I'm still extremely happy with the purchase... It's just kind of a bummer knowing I have to buy a second AI for short action calibers now.

That sucks about the bolt options for lefties. I just ordered the same rifle with bolt on the right for the same reason you did. What color option is yours?

Sage Green. I have very weak color vision and can't really tell a difference between the elite sand, sage green, and tan options. When I was finally ready to order it, the Sage Green one was the only color available for a lefty from the dealer with the cheapest prices, so I snagged it. I'm sure you'll love yours as much as I love this thing. It's heavy, but it's truly incredible when all you've ever shot previously are regular consumer rifles.
