I'll be teaching my son's weapons safety check when they can identify and pull a toy gun trigger.

I'm more concerned with what the school imparts than it omits.

I read part of the aussie constitution a few years back. Been glancing over it...

119. Protection of States from invasion and violence​

The Commonwealth shall protect every State against invasion and, on the application of the Executive Government of the State, against domestic violence.

So this reads that people can protest peacefully, and if federal police arm up in riot gear, and use tear gas, sonic weapons or other, they are in breach of 119 of the Australian constitution ?

People protesting the government who are citizens, can not invade. Police exhibiting domestic violence, or inviting UN troops, contravenes the constitution.

After the federal election the VERY first thing on the agenda is salary, and its to "provide" for themselves. I think they passed a bill to tie it to some index or something. It was proposed to be tied to national GDP, however that was a no-go because what would happen if we has a recession.. oh noes !!

Nope. Elections this year and both major parties are just buying votes. Victoria announced a trial program to pay for casual worker's sick leave with tax payer money.

Every party is more interested in safely securing power than trying to win the people's trust by governing well.

A little but not much,
Most just ignore the bedwetters.

Can drive over the Qld/NSW state border & back without papers now.

No Jab No entry to range, pub, casino & I think still restaurants in Qld.
ok for the above in NSW & not long ago it was the opposite in each state.
Also No jab No fly.

Went in for shoulder surgery a week & a half ago, Had to pull up at the front door, wind window down for Covid test then wait in the carpark for the OK to get out of the car.
Have to put supplied mask on to enter Hospital until I was on a bed then no mask until I left the ward the next day.
In saying that the care in this place was the best I've ever had, Pre & post op, even the food was good.

Believe most of us here are over the bullshit.

I'll see what fuckery awaits at a different Hospital for another appointment tomorrow, after waiting 1100 odd days for an appointment that was "To be seen within 90days" this time.

Health system was already poor pre Covid then it was hold my beer & it seems to be playing catchup now.
10+ years to finally get that surgery I needed.

Our elections won't make any difference, 2 party preferred system & like the US the 2 party's are basically 2 sides of the same coin

Ours isn't fake but it is heavily biased.

We have compulsory voting. The major parties just need to pander to the lazy and they win a huge voting segment. "More welfare spending/stimulus."
