What has YOUR airline done for YOU?

Some of ya'll might remember a few years ago I'd put up a Christmas commercial that one of our two major airlines made. The company is called WestJet, and their only Canuckian competitor is 'air canada'. (see what I did there?)

Thing is, back then,,, they would interview people getting on their planes and ask them what they wanted for Christmas. Relatively innocuous question, right? But when the people departed their planes at their destination, they would be given THOSE gifts that they'd asked for. Everything from "big-screen tv's" all the way down to the simplest,,,, "underwear".

So anyways, this here is this years commercial. And what WestJet has done. See if you enjoy it:

My airline got me to work safely and on time in blowing snow conditions this morning. It’s all I ever ask of them. They did gip me on the whole can of coke though and just gave me the little cup, bastards...

I flew WestJet for the first time this summer. After American Airlines totally screwed me, and several people I was traveling with, over, a couple WestJet employees went WAY above and beyond what they had to to try make my unplanned overnight stay in Toronto as pleasant as possible. If WestJet was a local airline, I’d fly them exclusively.
