Serial number and name should get you the info you need. That's all I have ever needed...

Thats because it was a TRANSFER. They need to know who it is coming from and who it is going to and the serial.
For a Form1 there is only one entitiy involved......you, so they only need your name and serial number.

Well I called and they told me I'd have to write a letter and inform them about the mailing address change. I did that this morning and just now found out that I might have sent it to the wrong place. Should I have sent it to 244 Needy Road Suite 1250 Martinsburg WV or the PO Box 530298 Atlanta, GA? Because I sent it to Atlanta.

Should have gone to WV, only new forms and checks go to Atlanta. They will forward it to WV may take a little while though.
I would call the NFA Branch and ask them if you can fax a copy of the letter to them since you erred and sent it to Georgia? That may be a faster way for you.

The address in atlanta is a bank, not the atf. The tax paid form 4's and form 5's go there to have the checks cashed prior to anything being done on the forms. Form 1's go direct to Martinsburg and the NFA branch as they insure the item you want to make is legal prior to cashing the check. Once they know its legal they send the check to Atlanta themselves. Any information you need to get to BATF needs to go to NFA branch in Martinsburg. Seems you got that part already.
