I'm trying to build up a DPMS LR308 and need a barrel and have decided on 16" but am unsure about the twist rate. I know people were/are having problems with the factory 1:10.

Depends on whether you want to run sub sonic loads or not. There is nothing wrongs with a 1:10 twist for a 308 but if your not gonna shoot anything over 210 grainers then a 1:11 should work great for ya.

No subs for this gun just 155 on the light end and 175 on the heavy side

Anything between a 1:12 to a 1:11 will work great for ya then.
