What is the toughest adjustable cheek piece?

When I searched for info, the XLR adjustable cheekpiece was just going onto rifles, I think it was new at the time of the posts. How are those holding up for everybody?

I've seen a lot of karstens on military rifles so they must be tough. They seem kind of standard.

Any other good options?

The XLR is aluminum and may bend if dropped. The Karsten is Kydex thermal plastic. Its damn near indestructible.

I doubt you could wear out either.

I've played around the the same thickness of material that Karsten uses for thier cheeck pieces. There is absolutely no way in hell you'll ever break it. That stuff is tough as nails. As for the other, it's way more expensive and for as simple as it is, it's thin and I would be afraid to bend or break the aluminum. But, that's just me. I hunt, so my rifles aren't just safe/range queens. They see some heavy use .... something to consider. If you are just using it at the range then maybe not so important.

Either one, you have to modify your stock by drilling holes which makes resale a bitch unless you let the cheeck piece go with it.

I will tell ya this....If you can break it I will replace it free of charge. So far I have replaced one that was mounted on an M14 that got pinched in the 800 pound door of an APC on Night Opts.
