I got to say I love my Sabenza but I sure wish they'd update the clip design to sit deeper in your pocket is the one real gripe I have.

Kershaw Ken Onion Leek. Smooth and sleek. Won't get hung up on the draw. And lays flat and discrete even in slacks worn with a suit -- other than the clip and top of knife of course.
I used to carry the spyderco G10 civilian but after a while I realized I needed a utility knife more than a defensive knife. Boxes attack more than humans. Don't get me wrong, she is a bad bitch.
Now I just carry an Amazon special that I can replace for $15 if I break it or lose it.

The Emerson replaced a ZT 0350 folder that I carried for 5 years. I lost it on the highway after having to pull over to do some emergency trailer wiring repairs, and then left it sitting on the bumper. My heart was broken, and I spent 2 months researching a replacement before I decided on the Emerson. Afet having it for 9 months, I think it's the finest knife I've ever owned. I have carried a Victorinox tinkerer in my front left pocket since I was 14 years old. I can't say it's been the same one that whole time, but when I lose one, a new one gets purchased immediately. Gets used almost every day for something or other.
Another Emerson fan here. 16 year old cqc-7 goes almost everywhere with me, even to church (actually especially to church.) old enough to be pre-wave, but that's ok.

The Kershaw Leek with most pants and the Tac Elite on weekends doing chores or other heavier duty situations. Both are very affordable knives with great steel that hold an edge against heavy use and that are easy to deploy and return to carry one-handed.
I love knives and have used one as a daily tool my whole life, but my budget is much less than I would like. These do the job admirably.
Been carrying one for three years, has held up great. Mine doesn't have the serrations though. Only issue ive faved was a little bit of blade wobble, but tightening up the allen head every now and then fixes it.

I carried one of these..the <1*> special edition for a bunch of years until I managed to break the locking mechanism. Sent it to CRKT to try getting it repaired, as I was hooked on it like a crackhead, and it was unrepairable. They sent me a voucher for about twice what I paid for the knife and a catalog and asked me to choose whatever I wanted to replace it since they no longer made the 1* edition! Above and beyond customer service for an idiot using a knife as a prybar....it doesn't get any better than that!
My Dad's K-bar. He bought it in 1945 after he got out of the USMC. He carried it every day for the rest of his life. I inherited it from him in 2005. I will carry it for the rest of my life.

My father wears out his knives and only uses CV knives of the three blade type. I would be proud to carry his knife if that's to be when he passes.
I grew up using a knife as a tool and carry and use one every day. I sometimes wonder how many of the millennial generation will continue to do so.
I have a hard time holding onto my pocket knives. They are often sliding out of my pocket when sitting, and sometimes, they end up being lost. In my situation, spending a lot of buckage on a sweet folder makes less and less sense as I advance deeper into my senility. So I look for something that's semi-expendable, but is still reasonably well made and has desirable features.
This Kobalt folding knife fits those criteria. The price is a slam-dunk, and I can replace a lost one at any Lowe's.
The blades will do anything I need a working knife for, and can become a formidable deterrent to undesired attentions.
Also in my pocket is a Smith's PP1 Pocket Pal sharpener; which complements the knife's features and keeps it ready at all times to do its best work. It serves as my key fob.

My new EDC knife is a Benchmade Griptillian special edition Doug Ritter with the M390 steel; it has been fantastic! So sharp I need to be much more careful closing it. Another hide member posted in the equipment forum about them going on sale and being discontinued, whomever that was, thank you! Great buy and one awesome knife!
