What Mags are you using in your REPR

Re: What Mags are you using in your REPR

A question is whether your REPR underwent repair modifications for more reliable feeding?

After that, I also like PMAGs.

Lots of places where you can purchase magazines, but I would suggest against Botach. They may list low prices, but their customer service sucks and if the product isn't in stock, you will get screwed.

I've ordered from SKDTAC and been very happy with their rapid deliver and customer service.

I'm sure there are also plenty of reliable vendors on this forum as well.

Good luck.

Re: What Mags are you using in your REPR

Just received the gun Wed. I will have to call LWRC and find out if it need to be sent in. Thanks for the link and the info about mags.

Re: What Mags are you using in your REPR

If your serial number is over 2000 (anything over 1800 is probably OK) you are GTG. If you have a lower serial number, you can tell if it has had the mag catch mod by looking at the magazine catch. Those that have been modified have a dimple on them.

These newer guns (over 2000) were designed to work with P-Mags, but any SR25 pattern mag should work fine.

P-Mags, from either Brownells or Bravo Co. I had to send mine in, but it was gone less than two weeks door to door.

Re: What Mags are you using in your REPR

Serial # 70-03571 It would seem that it is ok. I was curious about the mags and it appears that I will stick with the Magpul. One concern I have is the rounds with a COL of 2.80 are very tight in the mag just a few 1000's from sticking.

Re: What Mags are you using in your REPR

A little off topic (not related to REPR).....

I use 20rnd and 30rnd PMAGS - but I find the earlier 30rnd PMAGs were pretty itght in the mag well - needed a really hard sove to get them in and smae again on the way out. 20rnd and the newer 30's - no problem.

I do have a UK made lower so it may be that it is not entirely to spec....

Have some Sabre Defense 20's and a couple of ally 30's that also work fine.

Any body else find the old PMAG 30's "sticky"?

I am guessing your rifle IS NOT a REPR.

You probably want to look at the Magpul EMAG.

Re: What Mags are you using in your REPR

The Pmags I have work great, and at only $20 each are far cheaper than the metal ones. However, the metal ones allow me to seat the bullet out quite a bit further forward toward the lands. The Pmags max out right about 2.8 or 2.810 inches..I can get close to 2.825 with the metal mags. However if spec is 2.810 for SAAMI, the Pmags will work in over 95% of the ammo out there. Only occasionally will I run into a factory that round that exceeds the 2.810...very rarely...
