Gunsmithing What material does remington use to make barrels

Do they use Stainless or chrome moly? Also what process do they use to rifle the barrels? Hammer forge or button? I have found a few places to read about the subject but dont know how reliable the info is. One place said all of the big name companys like remington, winchester, ect.... hammer forge and savage is the only company that button rifles.

They use both SS and CM. All of their production barrels are hammer forged.

It depends on the particular rifle. Some use CM while others use SS barrels. Same for the rifling...depends on model.
