I apologize up front because this is another DMR/RECCE Rifle optics thread! But hey it's a lot of money for a lowly E-1 like me so I want to get all the info I can, and I've received a lot of it here; thanks!I've narrowed the search down...

I want to keep it $1500 or below.
My ideal set up would be-
1-8x.
First focal plane, illuminated, range finding reticle {this reticle (http://nordenperformance.com/crs_specs.html) is perfect}.
1/2 or 1/4 moa knobs (doesn't really matter to me though)
Sufficient eye relief.
And of course good quality glass and durability is a must!

The US Optics 1.5-6x28 SN-4
Leupold Mk4 mr/t 1.5-5x20 Ill.
Norden Performance/GRSC Combat Rifle Scope (CRS)
Leupold Mk4 mr/t 2.5-8x36 (I'd just figure out to use the mil dots as hold over points though)
Nightforce 2.5-10x32
And the Trijicon TA31H, just because I like the reticle.

I really care about WHY you chose what you chose and would appreciate feedback.

Please, feel free to recommend anything else you think would fit my specifications; but also choose what you think is best of the above as well.

Re: What scope?

i voted for the nightforce 2.5-10, i'm not into the 1.5x scopes, i would rather have a little less magnification with true 1x on the low end. save a little more and get into a swarovski z6i with that brti reticle, that is an awesome scope, ask anyone who shots a lot of 3 gun

Re: What scope?

The NF 2.5-10x32mm are great scopes I wish they were more readily available.
The Leupold MK 4 MR/T 2.5-8x36mm M2 turret is one of my favorite compact scopes.
The USO 1.6-6x are very well made and with the wright RET very effective.
The Swarovski 1-6x with the BRH RET is another outstanding scope the 3guners are loving.

on the nightforce, i would do a velocity reticle, or maybe a mildot or npr2 depending on if you like mil or moa. on the swarovski, BRT-I all the way

I agree with this gentlemen, the LV velocity reticle is straight up awesome. I took a small gamble when I picked up my 2.5-10x32 w/ the LV, but in my use thus far, it has really paid off big time. Its extremely fast and very accurate given you dope it right for the particular ammo your using.
