Hey friends! I am looking for a new scope for my 300WM. I would like something in the 700$ price range. The majority of the time this rifle will be used at different rifle ranges from 100-600 yards. With my eyes that means something along the lines of a 6-18 or 24 on the top end. At this time I only shoot against my friends with our pride on the line. I currently have several Vortex scopes and am a big fan of those. Yes, I know I could save up X amt more for such and such scope. But I am trying to stay close to 700$. Thanks for the input.

the new bushnell 3.5-21 has a strange tint to its glass. it is ok glass but in my opinion not as good as others in the price range. i really like the 3.5-21 though. the weaver tactical 4-20 has better glass than the bushnell and only shooting to 600 with a 300wm is should have plenty of elevation. the bushnell 2.5-16 and 4.5-30 are not bad they get kind of hazey at their higher mag settings but there is not a whole lot of options for 20 plus power under 700 dollars. i was reading some good things about the nikko sterling scopes but i have never looked at one for comparison. if you don't need variable power you could look at the swfa 20x scope. or maybe a used burris xtr 6-24

What kind of features are you looking for? Do you want something with tactical turrets? Would a Kenton turret be acceptable? How important is glass quality over wiz bag features?

If you are looking for a hunting style scope with really good glass, take a look at the Meopta line. The Meopro 6-18 would be my suggestion. Kenton can do a turret for it if dialing is what you want to do.

If you want to go the more tactical route the Vortex PST would be worth a look. Not the same optical quality as the Meopta, but it's got a lot of features.

Give us a call if you need some more help. We'd be glad to talk with you to help out however we can. We'll make sure you get a good deal.
