What tools do you need to put on and take off prefit barrels on an impact action?

Assuming I need a bench vise to hold the action or barrel?

Do you need gauges to check? How do you manage torque?

If it's a shouldered prefit no need for gauges but some people use them anyway. I'd recommend a barrel vise, appropriate action wrench, and a torque wrench in ftlbs.

There is a barrel vise on brownelss for 150 bucks. But you have to specify the bushing size. How do I match the bushing up to barrel profile?

Look at the Viper vise. Lots of good reviews and not too spendy. Viper
