What would you get?

I have a RRA varmint 24" that shoots lights out, a bushmaster A2, a bushy M4 16" and a Tacsol 22 upper but there's one more I'm thinking of. I want either a 16" or 18" multi-purpose Ar. Something I can switch optics if needed from eotech to scope or even irons. I was looking at the Larue 16 or 18 stealth uppers but figured someone would have other recommendations.

So, what would you buy for this? I want a stainless barrel..this wont be used for blasting, but I want a handier recce type rifle. There are so many brands out there that I'm not ever sure what's good and what's better

The stealths are GTG - wait till after SHOT though. See if something cool and new comes down the line.

Also, the Predatar 16 and 18" whole guns are completely worth it.

Also, +1 for noveske. Their barrels are top notch.

I just want something that's smaller and more accurate than the standard CM bores. A compass lake or WOA service rifle is on the list too then that's it for AR's lol

Gotta say Noveske. Maybe a BCM w/ an ion bonded SS barrel. Those are nice!! Both are going to be accurate, hold their value, and will be of excellent quality.

I don't own a 16" gun anymore but I am building a 18" upper. So far larue and noveske have been mentioned and I don't see anything better on the market for an all purpose gun. JP makes one of the finest race guns out right now so if you are into that put them on your list.

look at Noveske, Centurion, High Caliber Sales, MSTN, all build excellent 16 inch Recce type uppers and 18 inch SPR's as well.
I have had great results with Noveske and MSTN.

Everything I have ever touched from Noveske is top notch. That might sound a little extreme, but in my experience, Noveske is one of the top weapon manufacturers around.

+1. My Noveske 16" Recon has been great...no complaints and I'd buy one again. Runs great on 5.56mm ammo.
