What's a good bull barrel for my AR?

Re: What's a good bull barrel for my AR?

What's your price range? WOA makes a good varmint barrel for a reasonable cost, Lija makes a great one for twice the price. Every barrel manufacturer makes AR barrels.

I am kinda thinking the same way. I can't mount my NF F1 on my RRA AR
15 without removing the front sight post. I'm thinking a sniper style upper to take the glass and bipod and shoot 223 more economically than my 308

LW makes a great one. I've done 4 builds with them, all have been .5 moa 10 shot groups at 100 with factory ammo.

Plus its a cheap barrel.

Answer is price dependent. Some great ones are available read for use, others require you get a quality benchrest type barrel and have a great smith fit and chamber it.
Any of the "big brand names" are capable IF installed right and feed good ammo.
Lilja, Krieger, PacNor, Broughton, Rock - I have had great success with them. I'm sure there are many more quality sources.

Do you reload?
I think twist before I decide on a reputable barrel
if you shoot mostly
55 gr to 62 gr go 1:9
55 gr to 69 gr go 1:8
69 gr to 77 gr go 1:7

If it was me, I would go custom 1:7.7 which should run the whole spectrum
Shilen is excellent
WOA I've never own so I cannot comment
