Gunsmithing Whats the best finish for a bolt ?

So I am getting a new 1 Piece PTG bolt here in a few weeks, ok month and a half, so I have been thinking about how to finish it.

It will be a CM in the white.

I want something that is very durable and protects against rust. It is going in a stainless reciever.

what finish and who should do it ?

Robar NP3

I love this finish on my Stiller Tac30(PTG) bolt, very smooth operation and high corrosion resistance.

NP3 Plus with even higher corrosion resistance.

I agree with Robar NP3. It cost me $50 for the bolt, firing pin and cocking piece to get coated. Runs slicker than snot now.

How would this finish work on a bolt with a soldered or welded handle like a 700?

Wouldn't the process mess up the hardness of the bolt, making it as hard or harder than the action?
