Can anyone tell me what thread is under an AI AW .308 muzzle brake? The brake is kind of unusual in the way it appears to thread to the barrel as well as clamps to the barrel.

My barrel had metric threads. The barrel then tapers slightly to accommodate the proximal part of the brake. Hope that helps. I know pics would help.
