When are we going to ban assault opioids?

The CIA pumped drugs into the Black neighborhoods in the 80's for the purpose of destroying Blacks and their culture . Seems ironic now that the opoid pill and hwroin epidemic is slamming white suburbia . I don't think it a stretch that the Dems who are trying to destroy white culture in America would doe this . We taught the Afghans how to get better crop yield during their war with Russia . The idea was to help them finance their war . Their prodict now flows thru our unprotected southern border . Hmm .Coincidence that the Dems don't want a boder wall ? I think not .

If people want to use drugs on their own time, that's their business. As a Libertarian I couldn't care less what someone does to their own body as long as their antics aren't affecting someone else's life. Wanna know what we should ban? We should ban hate speech and what I mean by that, I actually mean the term "hate speech" should be banned. All that term is is a snowflake's safe space and trigger warning term. Take that term away and the snowflakes will either start to toughen up and realize when you do stupid shit, you're gonna get mocked. Or they'll just simply melt away like the useless non-productive Socialists that they most likely were gonna grow up to be.

What are people going to do when we have a real epidemic in America?

We live in the most comfortable time in the history of man, what’s going to happen when something bad actually happens...

Junkies are getting high and overdosing, that’s what happens when you choose to stick that needle in your arm, such a fool such a fool such a fool. All they have to do is quit shooting up and the problem fixed

Remember 2 years ago when a particularly virulent strain of influenza swept across the US and many hospitals had been overwhelmed? And I mean completely and utterly overwhelmed to the point that they had to erect tent cities to serve as temporary isolation and treatment centers?

And this was just a slightly beefed up version of the normal yearly flu outbreak. Imagine if something really fucking nasty like Ebola breaks out. It would be an absolute nightmare. The facade of normality in our civilization is very fragile and one pop with a hammer and it fragments into a million pieces before anyone can even say "Oh shit".

Personally, I think we as a society should stop wasting money and resources on junkies. All this Narcan shit and clean needles BS can be converted into actual medical research necessary to save people from many debilitating illnesses. The junkies and addicts are in the positions that they occupy because they put themselves there. Are we supposed to pull them back onto their feet with public resources when we know that a majority of them does not want help and cannot be helped? FUCK NO.

Leave them to their own devices. If they are strong enough to straighten out their lives and better themselves, then we will give them the resources to help them. Otherwise, too bad. You chose the needle.

In the early 1900s you worked hard or you starved and went with out shelter of your own. Today alot of the population are reaping the benefits of the hard work of our forefathers who suffered the hard times. So much land and money is inherited by people today who really have done not much more than be born to deserve it. Drugs ( easy path to feel good) , entitlement ( today's generation god given right). Until it's back to work hard for what you have, nothing more, nothing less, your gonna have people that can somehow survive as a career drug user and be able/happy doing it. Drugs aren't the problem, people are. Now I understand there are also a lot of good honest hard working people out there also who do not fall into this narrative. Just not sure the ratio is heading in the right direction. Hope I'm wrong.

Ebola is nasty. And pretty easy to contain. It’s called washing.

Obviously this thread was posted with sarcasm meant to point out the hypocrisy's in our society of other things that take way more lives than guns (not saying the gun itself takes lives), but yet you don't hear call for banning such items. I also don't care what drugs you do as long as it doesn't adversely affect anyone else I say knock yourself out.

I was in a terrible accident back in 04. Broke a bunch of bones and vertebrae. They had me on fentanyl at first, then OxyContin for years for back pain. I always had a bottle with several in it in my pocket. Long story short, I pissed a cop off one day and he searched me. Found the pill bottle and arrested me, because I didn’t have a copy of the prescription on me. Spent 48 hours in Indianapolis jail with the thugs and crazy’s. You wanna talk about an enlightening...

When I got out of that hellhole I immediately started weaning myself off the drug that I had never taken more than was prescribed. You cannot understand how hard it was. I had terrible withdrawals for months. I was on a low dosage compared to someone abusing it, and it fucked with me for a looong time. I can’t imagine being hooked on heroine. That shit is the devil.
