I read a few years ago, that in Texas, they were useing huge spud guns to shoot cocaine across the Rio Grand, into big nets.



HERMOSILLO, Mexico (AP) — The Mexican army says soldiers have seized two catapults that were being used by drug smugglers to fling packages of marijuana across the border into Arizona.

A military statement Tuesday says an anonymous tip led troops to a house in the border city of Agua Prieta where they found a catapult in the bed of a pickup truck and another inside the house.

It says soldiers also seized 1.4 tons (1.3 metric tons of marijuana) during Monday's raid in Agua Prieta, which is across the border from Douglas, Arizona.

Mexican troops also seized two catapults in the area last January. Authorities said then that it was the first time they had seen this smuggling method used by local traffickers.

Not really Genius but Precisely the point very few people get . US drug enforcement can use all the High Tec. to guard your Boarder they can Buy-$$$ with your tax money .

I have to disagree with that more than a little . The simplistic design of a Fence is pretty effective & seems to work well with N. Korea to control the flow of a mass populace over a Boarded .
& Not talking About actually using High Voltage current as they do .

Design & implemented the right way . A Boarder Fence is VERY EFFECTIVE . But our government will not commit to a simplistic and cheaper way to control unwanted Boarder flow With a Fence . No, Our Fed. Government would would rather commit to ....... ?????? , OH that's right . They can Commit to NOTHING on the Mex. Boarded-Drug-immigration problem. that they continually spend your Tax-$$$$$ on .

Its a different situation. the Korean border is how long?,,,125 miles. while the Mexican border is nearly 1500. Korea is protected by the south Koreans, and they have a strong presence and are bad motherfuckers. We are at peace with Mexico and the manpower to constantly completely patrol that border would be cost prohibitive. If they cant build a ladder over it theyll just tunnel under. Got to find a better solution.
