That's where the money is in this game, and it's why equality isn't coming to town any time soon.

True equality could easily be achieved in a generation or so, but it would require all of the people who make a living out of calling each other racists to stop doing so, and for us to just allow one generation of children to grow up in a world where our most immutable traits didn't define us and assign us the perceptions of being privileged or handicapped due to what we see in the mirror and each other.

Have an aunt that was trying to become the first female fire rescue pilot in FL back in the 80s. They rejected her application every year. Finally wised up and changed her ethnicity from white to Hispanic on it and boom- got the job.

Funny enough living in New Orleans during/after Katrina my next door neighbor was white S.African. He tried to join some city cleanup crew and filled out the application and was called in for an interview.He said he got very confused when during the interview process everyone became furious at him. They finally told him he was in trouble for lying on his application about being African. He explained he was a dual citizen and most definitely African. They threw him out saying 'he wasnt the kind of African they were looking for'.

That Hershey's chocolate syrup is about as African as most blacks in this country and yes, its effect on that milk was representative of more than the color of what the company would become as well. It's a name only of what it used to be, before the evil empire bought it and brought its progressive shit along with it. It's not an issue of color but the quality of employee that they are willing to accept just to " be more representative of the community ". Most black guys wont even put in for a promotion or a different job because they know that they aren't evaluated on a level playing field. I know guys that have turned jobs down because they were offered the job over someone more qualified and tenured just because they were black. Pisses them off as much as anyone else....but there's always going to be people that take full advantage.

Hating white people unifies their base. Racism is the easiest and laziest method of enervating a political movement.

It’s no different than what the South African commies are doing to the Boers, or what Hitler or the Turks did to the Jews and the Armenians.

Using hatred in place of logic and education always ends in violence and death.

Tribalism mixed with communism is particularly gruesome.

Same here... I am actually glad that I am not as pugilistic and pugnacious as I was in the past when I simply got down and dirty with no fucks given over even little things. Being one of the few Chinese kids who grew up in the hood (right near Fort Greene Projects on Nostrand Avenue), you just had to develop a certain mentality and attitude to not only survive, but earn respect and make friends. When me and my GF started dating in earnest a couple years back I had taken her to one of those super seedy and dingy blue-collar fast food cafes in the back part of NYC Chinatown where most of the clientele are FOB (fresh off the boat from China) bulldozer and crane jockeys from the numerous construction and bulk concrete/sand supply outlets on the block who only spoke hoarse and raspy cigarette-burned Cantonese, littered and spat and threw their garbage all over the place with absolutely no shred of decency or civility for anyone. The only reason why we went there was because that place had the only authentic Shanghainese rice-deep fried pastry/pork jerky roll called Chi Fan Tuan that I loved so much and wanted to introduce her to. As soon as we walked in, one of these hobos occupying a table in the corner pointed right at my GF with his chopsticks, and with a full mouth, said "bok guay", which meant "white devil", and the whole table began to guffaw. I turned right to him and said "Yo, if you gonna talk mad reckless you should just walk up to a man and say that shit right to him". At that, he immediately stood up, threw his chopsticks on the table and began squawking a mixture of Cantonese and English at me.

I fucking lost it at that moment. I walked right towards his direction and yelled: "Yo what up nigga? You standing up like you want to scrap. I am gonna lay you the fuck out right here in this bitch. Come on. Come at me you fucking pussy."

The manager and two other customers actually got up and stood in my way at this point. Meanwhile, FOB boy had pressed his back against the rear wall of the room. My GF stood by the door, looking completely terrified.

"Nigga you think you hard but youz' nothing but a punk bitch", I had continued. "I can knock you the fuck out and then rob all yo shit right in front of your homies and guess what? They ain't gonna do SHIT, B"...

At that moment, the manager said to me in Mandarin about "stop", and "don't want to get the police involved".

I answered back in English "I ain't gonna do shit, no worries. I ain't catching a case because of some fake ass hard boy. But you should tell yo boy over there that he shouldn't talk shit and expect people to not do anything".

I got our rice rolls and left... And spent the next block walked explaining to my crying GF why I bugged out on that mofo. There is no way in hell I was going to let that shit fly like that.

...Fast forward to last week. I had to deliver a load of lumber to a warehouse on that same block several buildings down from the eatery. As soon as I pulled the truck up in front of the warehouse I saw another delivery truck parked in front, 4-way flashers on. The driver, a black dude, seemed to be getting into it with a Chinese guy judging by the arm movements and raised voices. I pulled up nice and slow, POW!!, popped my springbrakes, and got out to see what the fuck was up, as I needed to back into the loading dock where a Subaru was blocking the way, also with it's hazards flashing. Did not take 1 minute of listening... Seems like the Chinese guy was hoarding a parking space for someone. Non-commercial too. And pretty illegal in NYC. The delivery truck had slipped in and parked while the guy had momentarily walked away and was distracted by something and now the parking space warlord was furious. That delivery truck driver has got to be the coolest and most chill black dude I had ever seen, because all he did was just stand there, arms crossed, laughing, as the Chinese guy just heaped round after round of abuse at him.

Curb warlord: "YOU MODDAFOCKA! I FOCKA YOU IN THE ASSHOLE, YOU FOCKING FAGGOT. YOU LOOKA LIKE GAY, YOU MODDAFOCKA. GO TO HELL YOU FOCKING MONKEY. YOU LOOKA LIKE UGLY MONKEY. GO BACKA TO AFIRICA. I FOCKA YOU AND YOU FAMALY!"

Delivery guy: (Laughing, shrugging shoulders) "I am already here. I ain't giving up this space. I got a delivery to make. Call the muthafucking cops if you think I did something wrong"...

Right then, I had walked up next to the delivery guy's side and facing the ranting clown, the biggest grin on my face, and arms outstretched in an exaggerated "what's up" gesture.

Me: "Yo, it seems like the only guy that's gay here...is YOU, B... Nobody's talking about sucking dick except you, flaming the fuck out like somebody's crack pipe on fire... You iight, homie???". (Delivery guy was laughing so hard that his keys and phone had fell out of his pockets onto the asphalt)

Curb clown: "FOCKA YOU! FOCKA YOU! YOU MODDA IS A MAN! (Starts to flex his arms like a fighting stance) YOU WANNA PROBLEM? YOU WANNA PROBLEM, FOCKING FAGGOT?"

Me: (Pushing my beanie back, taking off my reflective vest and throwing it onto the hood of my truck) "WHOAH YO, YO! You see that shit, fam?" (Turning to the delivery guy) "Homie think he is a hard nigga, flexing and shit. Yo, you want to talk all that shit, talk all the shit you want. You flex at me, that means you want to go down. And once I start swinging, I ain't gonna stop till yo ass is down and snoring on the street... You really want to go that route, B???"

At that point the punk stopped his aggressive stance, pulling out his phone instead and taking pictures of our license plates and threatening to "report" us. The delivery guy had already taken pics of the asshat and was telling him to go ahead and do as he please. (The Subaru had already drove off slowly a moment ago. I assume it had been another driver who got cowed by the curb warlord's shit and did not want to argue with him)

The only people worse than illegal immigrants around here and with whom I got into more problems with, are fucking Cantonese FOBs.

If you live in a one-party recording state (where recording audio is legal as long as one party to the conversation consents) and you're NOT recording every conversation with anyone in HR/legal, you're an idiot.

Some of the shit people say is incredibly incriminating because they think they're immune from recording or they think they need to consent to being recorded. In many cases they're wrong about both.

We need to use every legal tool available to stamp this shit down, but it takes both smarts and balls to do it.

The grievance industry is a trillion dollar one and thriving with no end in sight-social media has been a huge help. All of the usual suspects-Kaepernick, Sharpton, Shaun King, and whomever else there is make millions of dollars off of it. It will end when the money ends.

This meta-topic is one that comes up often at work (management/organizational consulting). I personally see the outrage/SJW culture as being largely successful at corrupting the larger concept of true diversity.

In short, the outrage/SJW/(insert self-proclaimed group identity here) has been very successful in brainwashing the public and corporate narrative surrounding diversity:

"Do we have a bunch of different skin colors and sexes in the boardroom, on the team, etc ? If yes, SUCCESS!"

vs​

"Do we only have minimal/single types of skin colors and sexes in the boardroom, on the team, etc? IF yes, RACISM/SEXISM!" And then the purging begins.

Ultimately, the true service behind committing to diversity is to increase the overall DIVERSITY OF THOUGHT on your team, leadership structure, executive boardroom, etc. All diversity initiatives, in my mind, should be to serve this specific end-goal, increasing DIVERSITY OF THOUGHT has been proven to:

1.) Increase problem solving abilities;
2.) Increase goal attainment;
3.) Increase team and organizational learning;
4.) Increase overall org. agility to handle the unknown, future, etc.

One thing the outrage/SJW/(insert self-proclaimed group identity here) DOES NOT want to admit is just because you have X races, Y sexes, Z ethnic backgrounds at the table, this DOES NOT MEAN you have diversity of thought.

As an example: I don't know about everyone else, but as an elder millennial myself (born in 1983), i grew up in a relatively diverse suburb and I had a lot of friends spanning a large spectrum of background diversity. We all grew up with the relative same resources, political leanings, education, and outlook on life (generally speaking). If all of us were selected to be a part of a boardroom today because of skin color, ethnicity, etc,., would we really be achieving the end goal of diversity? Diversity of thought? I know my answer on this one.

There is significant work to be done to ensure diversity of ideas, personalities, capabilities, and backgrounds are utilized for the greater success of organizations and society, but I am afraid the current way of bucketing people by (insert your preferred group identity here), is retarding the process, and creating even more work to unwind it.

I like the concept here. Diversity of thought is really the goal, and you can have that if everyone in the room just happens to be the same color/gender/sexual orientation/preference of cats or dogs. The problem is, affirmative action and the drive for more "diversity", while held as holy by the SJW crowd, really in action is only looking skin deep which seems racist as fuck to me...

There is definitely a chasm of thought on affirmative action. A large contingent of minorities have been historically treated awfully by individuals, organizations, and also our government, and this has been inexcusable and fucking tragic, no denying that.

There seems to be two groups of primary thought on how to right the ship:

1.) We right the wrongs and prevent this from ever happening again by making discrimination illegal and punishable via systemic laws and policies.

Or

2.) We right the wrong by allowing the pendulum to swing hard in the opposite direction and allow the historical actions to continue propagate, but just reverse the groups and how they are affected.


#1 requires confidence in our system and its laws to be effective, swift, and just. It doesn't do anything to address the past injustice other than promising it will never happen again, and if it does, there is a process to identify and correct.

#2 makes people feel like a historical injustice is being fixed and not simply ignored, and this feels good in the short term. But I don't know the the long-term domino effect of this is viewed.

I share a similar opinion. A divided population can be advantageous to a government, institutions/organizations who could benefit. I primarily look towards major news media as being one of the largest benefactors to division, on both sides.

division = higher polarization = in group vs out group mentality x advertising opportunity = $$$

more white people in history were enslaved by muslims than black people enslaved by white people.
black people in africa continue to own slaves, and slaves or wives are sold in open markets in muslim countries.
and yet when social justice warriors speak about slavery, they only point at white people, ignoring the fact that it was white people that launched the world wide abolition movement that freed slaves here are elsewhere.

Thanks for the above. Agreed at large, slavery predates our country, our continent's history, and then some. This is one of the biggest challenges to having an honest discussion with certain groups when it comes to the topic of reparations (which affirmative action is a subset of), how far back do we need to go to make sure the playing field is leveled?

Just going back one or two or three generations doesn't seem fair, we would need to go back hundreds and hundreds of years to allow the logical end of reparations to be executed fairly. How does that actually look? How do we know we are doing it right and fairly?

To my knowledge, based on our ancestory research, same w/my lineage. Came over during the potato famine and grinded it out on the rail roads in OH, IN, IL. Most died poor from what we can tell.
