Can anyone tell me of good places to buy used, high-end scopes?
I usually just look on Snipershide or the SWFA Sample List.

There are many places to buy "used" scopes, not all are "good", and you do have to know what you are buying, and an excellent understanding of the market place.
But I have bought new and used scopes from:
Sniper's Hide
SWFA Sample List
E-Bay
Gunbroker
Auction Arms
Local paper Classifieds
Other BBS boards for sale lists: Like 24 Hour Campfire, Accurate Reloading, et al
Liberty Optics has a Used for Sale List:
Sometimes you can find treasures, and sometimes you get a dog.....YMMV

It's nice that SWFA would give advice on other places to shop besides his company. That just makes me want to buy something from SWFA that much more. I already have a SS. It would be interesting to see a 4-15x Illuminated SS from them someday.
I am looking for a used Nightforce F1, S&B PMII or USO for a good price. Hopefully in the next few years there will be more FFP, MIL/MIL choices out there. It seems like whenever I find a great deal it says SPF.
